Game Version Changelog

It's been a while since this game had an update. Focus and time have mainly been spent on the Asteria project. This update will begin the process of finishing and advancing the game, making it more ready for its storyline, as will the next one, which will complete the focus on the living life screen with more complete features.
Here is the first part of that though.
Version 0.8 Update (End of March 2026)
# Lore Additions
64 Days of content added to the news ticker.
1 Location description done (Trailer Park).
# Bugs
Fixed: Wrong color of string on defeat during combat.
Fixed: Sound effects on button press shouldnt be enabled if skill slot has no skill and is locked.
Fixed: Some story buttons have nosound on press during dialogue.
Fixed: Player is attacked if no action is taken but cannot see attack response, or force of attack.
Fixed: Combat attacks and dialogue doesnt change correctly to attacks.
Fixed: Enemy Attacks not showing string for damage correctly, Also reworked and improved mechanics / strings here overall.
Fixed: Music player should not be enableable during combat.
Fixed: ESC menu button not showing back up on top bar if esc menu is opened then closed in various places.
Fixed: Life tab UI assets of player stats show over the new day popup for living life if opened before it appears. or when it loops back to activated on a new day.
Fixed: When going fullscreen, minimizing then returning from tray, fullscreen sizing is incorrect and broken.
Fixed: Sound for buttons under living life dialogue entry working when they should not be.
Fixed: Stats and Life buttons are not limited to not be clickable unless that part of the UI is showing and selection can be changed through other UI parts.
Fixed: Several more button press sounds from other layers not currently active are coming through on clicks when they should not be.
Fixed: Some of the stat bars in life section behind portrait toggle are not responding to variables due to having no mechanics added.
Fixed: On living life screen, the dialogue box UI is 1px off.
Fixed: Tooltips on living life screen are layered on top of icons, changing half the intended appearance.
Fixed: Some new panels such as player life settings and info panel and the old toggle area over the player avatar before entering the astral do not reset UI on proceeding passes.
# Added Mechanics
Added New Event UI to Life events panel, complete with mechanics and a basic set of events, ranging from employment and housing to random finds and encounters with characters.
New News Ticker in the living life screen, Will display events related to the game universe each day.
Added an attack indicator icon to enemy and player portrait sides, When attacked or attacking it will appear then fade, also will also now display correct enemy damage from attack.
Added New Mechanic and UI called Focus Path, A player can change their focus path and gain a specific benefit as well as being able to change transport types here. Complete w/ Saving & loading of variables. And tooltips.
Newday Popup Living Life section has been enhanced with indicators for how the life direction is going for each of the stats.
Added affliction counting mechanics on skills strings and living life screen and for daily prospect calculations and new day popup.
Added Player Pip Popup on the living life map when player pip is double clicked for additional info and choices for job, housing and policy and real player health features.
Added Locations Pip Popup on the living life map when location pips are double clicked for additional location info.
Improved value ranges for the different levels on stat bars for each stat, As well as hooking each of them up to their relevant variables.
Added Transport Type Speed mechanics, now your player speed is changed depending on which transport type you've unlocked and use.
# Other
Adjusted living life map popup icons spacing.
Some long awaited in-editor notations and cleaning up of things for myself, It was a mess.
Moved and enhanced the affliction effect UI & Strings on the living life screen to fit / relay information better in preparation for working on story.
Tweaked Transport Type Area UI in the toggle behind player portrait and stats to cover up transport types with UI Padlocks if they are yet to be unlocked by storyline yet.
New Icon for walking (transport type).
Improved prospects UI and possible outcomes to include more prospect levels that display your prospects better.
Added 6 Sets of 5 jobs each with 5 levels of quality in various sectors totaling. 30 jobs.
Added 5 new icon locations to living life map complete with tooltips.
Added 2 new icons to represent housing & employment on certain parts of the UI.
Added a hotkey to spacebar for the pause and unpause functions on the living life screen. And added it to the hotkey list.
F1, F2, F3, Minimize to tray, minimize, maximize & esc hotkeys now have sound on usage.
Music player buttons / hotkeys now have sounds on press.
Updated hotkey string list to be clearer.
