This update covers various sections of the game's framework, with a primary focus on advancing the manual warfare mechanics to a more complete state, as well as expanding advisor actions. Several other areas have also been improved. Systems that received a user interface in the previous update have now had their mechanics added or further fleshed out.


Achievements have also been updated to a more complete state. While they still require additional work to become fully functional, they are now much further along in development.

# Steamworks Additions or Changes


  • Added 3 achievements for amassed wealth.

  • Added 4 achievements for days spent running your kingdom.

  • Added 3 achievements for kingdom landmass.

  • Added 3 achievements for kingdom might.

  • Added 6 achievements for ownership of asterian regions.

  • Added 3 achievements for population density.

  • Added 4 more achievements, for all equipment found and all artifacts found in-game.

  • Added 6 achievements for pets, dynasty and partnerships.

  • Added 2 achievements for laws.

  • Changed the initial test achievement into a real achievement, the first you will get from the storyline.

# Bugs Fixed


  • Fixed: No hotkey sounds on shift + number for army selections.

  • Fixed: Test animations for horses are running across screen on manual combat.

  • Fixed: Advisor icon in advisor panel and other places has pixel issues within it and blemishes.

  • Fixed: Another instance of archery selection not following troop movements unless the panel is live.

  • Fixed: A few alternate Music player buttons and UI are missing sound on press.

  • Fixed: Makeshift shield and Leather shield items are not equip-able.

  • Fixed: On retreat selection in manual combat right side header should display text for which army is selected. Currently just says retreating due to a conflict.

  • Fixed: Retreat can be used still if no army is selected causing issues.

  • Fixed: Button press sounds playing on various manual combat UI pieces when not active or hidden under other pieces of UI.

  • Fixed: In personal conversation / combat mode switches, the combat log isn’t resetting and messes up UI.

  • Fixed: In manual combat buttons are covering the troop recovery panel of battle report that should not be.

  • Fixed: buffs icons show on battle report of manual combat.

  • Fixed: Some UI is missing on battle report of manual combat.

  • Fixed: Missing save triggers for kingdoms not lutician given to on gold log.

  • Fixed: Gold sent list entry only resets on luticia, needs to reset on all.

  • Fixed: When an advisor is hired, on educating or awarding a guard, the review panel UI is moving to the wrong location in the UI.

  • Fixed: In Overview personal might the calculation is missing inclusion of Player STR, DEF, FIN values.

  • Fixed: On battle the way you have player army colour markers set means they are several px off on the horse popup but not archery.

  • Fixed: Pets, dynasty, partnership if near to 100 loyalty wont do the last step of working with on button action and wont default to 100 loyalty if it surpasses it.

  • Fixed: All might selection on overview troops section doesn’t seem to count personal might.

  • Fixed: On equipment list selection there’s a bug if you scroll down and then select another slot, it doesn’t work the first click. Only the second.

  • Fixed: On overview, some panels can be altered by clicking through the taxation panel.

  • Fixed: Awarding a guard to priest slot wont work after you hire another advisor slot then award guard to priest.

  • Fixed: Incorrect might calculation code on 1 army of the player side.

  • Fixed: Laws on first entry when no selection is made on the civil code section, it shows text suggesting its active already.

  • Fixed: Regent advisor actions sets priest away as missionid instead of regent.

  • Fixed: Save game bug issue. Everything that stopped working should be working on that now including save game deletion.

  • Fixed: 6 advisor types and relevant list not resetting when advisor is sent away on an action.

  • Fixed: When sending an advisor on a mission and you go to send away another advisor then list selection breaks.

  • Fixed: When selecting a save slot for deletion in manage saves of ESC menu, and changing your mind and opting out, the list selection text colour doesn’t reset.

  • Fixed: Delete save button should not show up if no save is present in chosen UI slot.

  • Fixed: Some UI header strings on manual combat are not resetting to what they should in some cases on manual combat UI shifts.

  • Fixed: Tooltip not showing on mouseover of advisors and other sections due to a conflict with one of the newer tooltip additions.


# Added Mechanics


  • Manual combat now has troop information panel and strings displaying when enemy army is selected.

  • On local area conversation lists, selections in the list associated with traders, or partnerships or a mystery now show a UI piece and string, Showing the type of conversation / event you can expect.

  • Archery attack now has an arrow volley animation that deploys on any location you choose in the volley selection popup and now closes the panel once volley is sent.

  • Population now gives you a gold income which is rounded up and based on population counts and locations owned every turn.

  • All partnerships, dynasty and pets panels now gain +1 loyalty or their equivalent per day to their active selection.

  • Personal combat now shows equipped right hand weapon used, set from overview.

  • On personal combat, the strings for combat moves now have 4 variations, For Unarmed, Armed attacks and a Special attack for each, Which can yield more damage in the attack for both player and enemy side. Re-rolls on timer.

  • Manual combat log now has an entry on arrow volleys.

  • Active pets in personal combat now do more damage based on their increased loyalty.

  • Added a mass retreat toggle button, to select one army or all for retreat, And a surrender button to bring up a popup and end the battle, Fully functional.

  • Added in advisor actions pane, under advisor names when a menu selection is made, Education level, and the security rating for each advisor selection with shield icons to represent this.

  • Status with a kingdom now shows in personal combat, Resulting in peace, war, or a unknown affiliation icon. That way you can understand characters allegiance or actions better in reference to kingdom, events or storylines depicted.

  • Advisor Education & Award now costs the player and removes gold.

  • Designed Cavalry Charge direction selection UI popup and mechanics for manual combat.

  • Cavalry Charge now triggers and has a horse army animation.

  • Player volley and cavalry charge attacks now do damage, Single location for archers and in the case of a cavalry charge you can hit several armies in a row if they are located along the same lines, log also now indicates such.

  • When an advisor is away, And on advisor actions panel, There is now a string on the right showing how many days until they return to the kingdom.

  • Added an AAP (Advisor Action Points) reward system, Every advisor below 50 expertise grants you 1 AAP per day for a total of 8, Every advisor above 50 expertise grants you 2 AAP per say for a max total of 16 AAP earned on new days to be used for advisor actions.

  • Updated Battle Report UI to better depict troop gains or losses, Also includes Loot ID system for the player and enemy sides, So you can take and be taken from. Alongside a special usage section to show siege items used or specials used up from topbar actions.

  • Icons added to active laws, Tooltip shows current law upkeep cost and unrest info and player is now charged 500g per active law. Each active law now generates unrest daily for now.

  • Added minor event popups UI and system for advisors returning from actions and the basics for unrest design.

  • Increased reward possibilities for advisor actions from 1 to 3.

  • Added several more minor event basic popups for various things the player will need to be notified about, some are ready others need more work.

  • Trade agreements with kingdoms now give gold


# Other


  • Backspace hotkey to return on various UI frames now has sound.

  • Re-layered manual combat weather effects to be on top of other UI in that area.

  • Enemy volley arrow animation and mechanics designed and added for use in future combat scenarios.

  • On personal combat, Enemy weapon image is now inverted to face the player character.

  • Polished blemishes in conversation mode and personal battle mode UI panels and gave them a new background shaped colour inset design like in other UI pieces..

  • Inverted enemy health UI to show red low health on the correct side.

  • Personal combat weapon silhouette changed to combat weapon default instead of helm.

  • Manual combat buffs system increased to hold 5 instead of 3 buffs.

  • Adjusted Leather shield item image, it was a px off.

  • When in personal combat or conversation modes, the top UI bar is now the region info of location, but is altered to lock the advisor actions button.

  • If popups are open in manual combat they now have lock panels covering the left and right and locking functions to cease any bugs caused by lack of limitations.

  • New battlefield lock panel look & Sand timer animations.

  • Buttons for mass retreat and surrender made a bit larger and design improved to reflect usage.

  • On retreat popup panels the buttons for surrender and mass retreat are now hidden when the lock panels are in place.

  • On battle report of manual combat. The troop recovery section has been renamed to captured troops and now has the correct UI Pips whether you win or lose the battle and toggle correctly now.

  • On manual combat battle report, captured troops left hand side panel, Resized String UI Area to not cross over the pip selections. And repositioned the associated string.

  • Custom Mouse Icon now starts at the Intro Frame sooner than before.

  • Battle report subheader UI for defeat and victory strings had a new design different from the main header.

  • The troops captured area of Battle report is now locked with a cover UI if you are defeated in battle. Since there will be no captured soldiers during a loss.

  • Send gold gift log now has a different log for each kingdom so they don’t contain the same info, since player cannot see where the entry was sent. Also now has UI piece when its updating to squash bugs in its usage.

  • Resized UI parts On Advisor actions where advisor is selected to fix cramped margins.

  • Partnerships, Dynasty, Pets Image panels when holding an active on the clickable panels now have animations changed so active images remain clear.

  • Repositioned laws frame strings for better alignment with UI pieces.

  • Repositioned troop count and retreat chance strings to be under the buttons for selections. As well as giving them more accurate calculations.

  • Troops and Buildings sections of overview now have 4 UI Icon pieces to represent troops ready, in healing, and populations available or currently used, Strings have also been repositioned to fit with these additions.

  • Fortifications owned now advances the buff system, to a proper accurate string. 0.5% per fortification.

  • When dynasty, partnerships and pets are maxed out on their respective loyalty stat, UI buttons are now disabled and hidden with a UI piece and a string that says mastery achieved or some relevant variation of text for each type.

  • Partnerships and dynasty now have lock panels if not active during selection like the pets panel.

  • Added 14 missing weapons to personal combat so they show in the weapon slot if equipped or used by enemy.

  • 5 New weapons added. (Wooden Training Sword, Wooden Club, Studded Club, Crushing Sword, Heavy Crushing Sword (2H))

  • Added 6 Kingdom Theme Cloth Caps to equipment for the head slot.

  • Added Black Cloth Cap and Black Greaves, Black Cuirass.

  • Added 8 Cloth Garbs to equipment for the body slot.

  • Added 6 Mail Greaves to equipment for the legs slot.

  • Added 6 Mail Body Armour to equipment for the body slot.

  • Added Holy Order Equipment Set (7 pieces).

  • Added Black Knight Equipment Set (5 pieces).

  • Gold Log UI tweaked to remove scrollbar and selections as they are not needed for such a simple short recent gifts log.

  • When selecting between slots in overview equipment, the list now resets scroll and selection every time.

  • When Gold log is updating on send gold in diplomacy the bottom button is now limited and altered visually with a lock while the update animation is playing above.

  • Training & Building review panels top row now has mouseover tooltips so its very clear what each section is in terms of variables.

  • Changed kingdom guard helms to a new design, Introduced warrior helms with the original design.

  • Diplomacy tooltip positions on expertise and guard updated with better placements on mouseover.

  • Added Forged By Maker Marks in stone, iron, silver and gold to detail equipment origins with a mouseover and art.

  • Added basic diplomacy character dialogue templating for all kingdom diplomats and for advisors you can hire in preparation for writing.

  • Changed opacity on several action buttons across the game.

  • In laws if sections are active but you selected another then the activate law button is now locked and disabled. Player must deactivate current law in each section to activate another in that section.

  • Personal combat attack timer now starts at the 15 second full count rather than running in the background like it did and causing quick attacks depending on when you enter combat.

  • City & Outskirts areas now have weather effects over the area images.

  • Limited manual combat top row buttons so that they are now given disabled versions while popups are open. To stop the switching between them.

  • Added weather effects on view area location zoom in.

  • Advisor position selection for advisor actions is now reset on pass-through visits.

  • On ESC menu, save game area has changes to the UI for better spacing, and to fill area of function better.

  • Infopanel welcome section, left hand side health section tooltip. Now matches personal battle health mechanics and ranges.

  • ESC menu UI pieces given better alignment / spacing and some buttons were resized, redesigned in the centre section.

  • Selection of save game slots now cannot be changed when delete button has confirm menu up.

  • If you hide events the event log icon will also now disappear from the world map.

  • Advisor Actions have been fleshed out more 29+ overall actions for advisors to take, Designed basic. Awaiting written content.

  • Limitations placed on personal conversation/combat/decision modes to stop conflicts between those sections and their functions.
